Spicy 4-piece comedy band with impeccable timing seek audience for fun, frolics and Lord Of The Rings themed banter. Must be open to new experiences and dry ice. This is it lads. This is the one. To the IBIS we ride.

More details

The Orc Mischief are a 4 piece comedy band from Dundee consisting of childhood friends Ben, Campbell, Michael and Daniel. They have been together for just over a year and have played around the country as far afield as Inverness.

The band write tongue in cheek and sometimes obscure songs about anything from Lord Of The Rings to lukewarm sausage rolls (honestly!). They are playing 8 shows at the Edinburgh Fringe festival from 2nd - 9th August at the Ibis Hotel on South Bridge.

They have recently uploaded their first self-produced music video: Independent Scotland to YouTube. In just 24 hours they reached over 1451 views and many have shared the video including the official Yes campaign. The song itself brings a bit of light humour to the Independence referendum debate - you can view it here:

They have recently recorded a full length album, produced by Scott Anderson of Scary People (who recently played T in The Park) and are planning an album launch in Dundee when they return from Edinburgh. Attendees of their fringe shows can purchase the album before its official release.

User reviews

Orc Mischief are a brand new talent, who gathered momentum during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Their songs are cleverly constructed, and are just good fun. " My Granny's in the BNP" was one of the most popular songs from their set, which did not appear on their new CD. The CD shows that this band is purely using original material and could find a gap in the market for clean, honest humour. I would be very surprised if anyone saw them live and did not enjoy the show as their repartee with the audience is also very amusing, and under-stated. Amazingly this gig was free , but you would gladly have paid money to see them. If they are preforming in your neighbourhood in the next year - make the effort and go and see them, you'll be glad you did. The band have a relaxed approach to life, but appeared to be quite professional and are guaranteed to entertain you. Can't wait for them to produce more material, they could be sitting on a treasure chest of Scottish humour that the rest of the world has yet to see. On the 21 August they will be appearing on BBC2 on Newsnight - so others also think this band could really make it.
