Penge native and star of ITV2's Viral Tap presents her follow up show to 2013's smash hit debut. Not content with appearing at the Hammersmith Apollo or cracking jokes on BBC2's The Rob Brydon Show, Carly will be appearing in a little room above a pub for a fun and intimate hour of comedy. What's the show about? It's an hour of songs and jokes. And it's free. Get in! ***** (FreshAir.org.uk). **** (Daily Express). 'Downright hilarious, Smallman is a must see' (GQ). 'Smutty, outspoken jollity' (Telegraph). 'A bundle of energy' (Sun).

The Carly Smallman three minute interview

Carly Smallman has sung her funny songs at some fabulous venues. From comedy clubs, to arts centres, to the Hammersmith Apollo to her living room... Martin Walker asks about her ITV2 show and latest offering for the Edinburgh Fringe.

This year Carly wanted to fly under the radar, not invite any press and just get on with being funny. But then it turned out she actually found something to say for herself that wasn't about just about getting drunk... or willies (don't worry...there is some stuff about willies in the show but it has a feminist slant on it - I know right!).

At the start of this year the Penge girl thought she had it all - a new home, a gorgeous boyfriend, and a regular job on Viral Tap (ITV). But after the first show aired she found herself on the receiving end of some very nasty comments about the way she looks. Stuff like this:

@carlysmallman you would be pretty if it werent for your deformed mouth and tongue. I cannot bear to look at you

@itv get Miss Piggy aka @carlysmallman off the air

@carlysmallman you are a fat whale I wish I could come into the studio and shoot you and the rest of those cunts

So the show is basically about that. How the things you want sometimes aren't the things you wanted at all. And changing the world a little bit. It's about that too.

So she'd love you to come along... oh who am I kidding writing this in the third person!?

I - Carly Smallman - would LOVE for you to come and see my show. Some reviewer types love me (high five to the Express!) and some not so much (soz Kate Copstick). So why not come and see if you enjoy yourself? You just might.

My telly credits include Viral Tap (ITV), The Rob Brydon Show (BBC), Secret Interview (Channel 5) and a bunch of talking head shows for E4 and BBC3. I've also written and performed sketches for BBC Comedy online... but now I feel like a twat for bragging.
