Venue details
Join 2013 Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Carl Donnelly for another 'ludicrously funny hour' (Skinny) of stories and observations from his life since last August. This 'cuban heel boot wearing hippy' (BroadwayBaby.com) has spent part of the year travelling around India and the rest of it going through a divorce so has plenty to talk about. Sit back and enjoy an hour in the company of 'a complete natural' (Chortle.co.uk) and an 'observational genius' (Guardian). 'Another superb display of stand-up from Donnelly' (EdinburghIsFunny.com).

In a bid to find himself, 2013 Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Carl Donnelly spent last year travelling around India following the end of a relationship. Unfortunately what he found out is that he's a bit of an idiot. Sit back and enjoy Now That's What I Carl Donnelly! Volume VI!, an hour of storytelling by Carl where he will recount his recent ludicrous antics including drinking suspect tea, Veganism and body art.
An Edinburgh Fringe favourite, Carl's conversational sense of humour has landed him a nomination for the 2013 Edinburgh Comedy Award and a 2009 nomination for Best Newcomer. He has won Best Newcomer at The Chortle Awards (2007) Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year (2007) and Laughing Horse New Act of the Year (2006). Known internationally as well as in the UK, Carl has performed at some of the biggest comedy festivals in the world including; Montreal Just for Laughs, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival and Kilkenny Cat Laughs.
Away from the live stage, Carl Donnelly is a frequent face on television and radio and has made appearances on: Mock The Week (BBC Two), Russell Howard's Good News (BBC Three), Stand Up For The Week (Channel 4) and Dave's One Night Stand. His radio credits include: BBC 5Live's The Back End of Next Week, Loose Ends (BBC Radio 4) and Act Your Age (BBC Radio 4), Carl is also a regular guest on TalkSPORT.
Last year Carl and fellow-comic Chris Martin re-launched the Carl Donnelly and Chris Martin Comedy Podcast on Soundcloud which has gained over 40,000 subscribers to date. The boys podcasted throughout the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last August and were joined by a host of comic guests.
