Acclaimed stand-up Alistair Green spends an hour on stage ranting, moaning and generally talking about everything he thinks is wrong with the world, including his own pitiful shortcomings as a human being. Sounds hilarious doesn't it. 'Undiscovered genius' (Guardian). 'Fully deserves his underground reputation as the comedian's comedian' (ThreeWeeks).

A sustained rant from a man falling apart at the seams. But funny.

Acclaimed stand-up Alistair Green spends an hour on stage ranting, moaning and generally talking about everything he thinks is wrong with the world, including his own pitiful shortcomings as a human being. Sounds hilarious doesn't it?

Well known throughout the circuit for his, "well-crafted miserabilist stand-up" (Guardian) Alistair Green will be bringing his third solo show to the Edinburgh Fringe and his first to The Stand. Alistair Green has been called a "buried treasure" (Guardian) and Chortle.co.uk said "Green clearly has all the skills to go far. With intelligent and subtle gags, and a gentle delivery that sets him apart from many other comics."

Alistair joins the ranks of brilliant comedians who choose The Stand for their Fringe Shows, comedians such as Daniel Kitson and Stewart Lee, appreciating its long history of supporting alternative comedy. Recent TV and Web credits include Roisin Conaty's pilot GameFace for Channel 4 and critically acclaimed Panic Stations with Ingrid Oliver.

Alistair is also known for his acclaimed character Jack Spencer. He brought Jack Spencer: Sex Addict to Just the Tonic at the Tron in 2013 Broadway Baby said of the show, "Green is devilishly funny... Provocative, sarcastic and a wicked sense of humour."

Nobody's Twisting Your Arm is set to be the breakthrough show of 2014.
