Award-winning sketch double act Heffernan & Fletcher present their highly anticipated Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut. Combining absurd silliness and observational character-comedy, Roll it in Sequins is sprinkled with Heffernan & Fletcher's very own special brand of comedy glitter.
With dreams of Vegas in tatters, two unlikely showgirls find a way to cope with the post-sequin blues. Creating a 'cabaret of the ordinary', their cast of misfit office workers each gets a Vegas-style makeover. Tiffany, an administrator with attitude, knows what a grievance form is and isn't afraid to use it. Fat Pam hides a secret inner (thinner) life from her colleagues. HR manager Amy's attempts to write an erotic novel are quashed by her boss Beverly, who sings the blues in her own special way.
Heffernan & Fletcher are Megan Heffernan and Sophie Fletcher. They first met in Paris where they both attended Jacques Lecoq, 'Clown School'. In 2009 they co-founded comedy sketch group, The History Girls (Leicester Comedy Festival Best Show nominees 2012, Cofilmic Audience Award Winners 2011, Laughing Horse New Act Competition Semi-finalists 2010). The History Girls made a series of sketches with Objective Productions for BBC Comedy Online and, this year, Heffernan and Fletcher won the Hat Trick 'Short and Funnies' competition with their online sketch Baby.
