Full press release
Danny Buckler emerges from his lair with his debut stand-up show, The Phantom, where he will be performing throughout the Edinburgh Festival Fringe at Just The Tonic's The Caves.
Danny explores the themes of unrequited love in an overly theatrical style, and the parallels between himself and the character 'The Phantom of the Opera'. Laugh at this thrilling tale, including vivid stories of sword fights with 'chavs', marvel at the vast array of characters bought to life and weep as Buckler finds the girl of his dreams and loses her while she gains the confidence to meet the man of hers...
Danny Buckler is a unique performer, equally at home on the stage of an intimate comedy club, a rowdy Armed Forces crowd, or in front of millions of people on prime time TV. Hi TV credits include contributing to 50 Greatest... (Channel 5) 50 Worst... (Channel 5) Simple Minds (Discovery Channel) and Mind Games (BBC).
Mixing stories, observations and the occasional sleight-of-hand, Danny has been supporting Jon Richardson on his 2011 UK tour and continues to do so in 2012.
As a regular performer at various venues around the world, and comedy clubs the length and breadth of the country, Danny is a surefire crowd hit and always leaves his audience wanting more.
