Winner of the Amused Moose Laugh-off, runner-up in So You Think You're Funny, and member of sketch trio WitTank, behold, His Imperial Highness Prince Nazim Ziaeddin Nazim Osmanoglu. Half English poshboy, half Turkish warlord, Naz wields the only scimitar he's got - a sharp sense of humour and a claim to the Turkish throne. 'He is a name to remember ... Very confident, very original and tightly performed' (Richard Herring). 'Spirited, witty and individual... more energy than a dozen Duracell bunnies' (Steve Bennett, Chortle.co.uk). 'Naz is a hard gigging, high performance comedy machine.' (Tommy Holgate, Sun). Join the coup.

Winner of the Amused Moose Laugh-Off (2009) competition and star of acclaimed sketch group WitTank, Naz Osmanoglu heads to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with his debut solo show, 1000% Awesome.

Naz is 1000% awesome. Deal with it. His Imperial Highness Prince Nazim Ziaeddin Nazim Osmanoglu is half-English poshboy, half-Turkish warlord and wields the only scimitar he's got - a sharp sense of humour and a claim to the Turkish throne.

In 1000% Awesome Naz tries to reconcile the two sides of his identity whilst constantly trying to impress his overbearing (and slightly terrifying) Turkish father whose brashness and overwhelming pride only inform the awesomeness which Naz is trying to keep up with (his dad's awesomeness is off the f**king scale).

With a mixture of the humbled well-mannered schoolboy and bold Turkish supremacy, Naz tries to embody a vision of his father and attempts to rid himself of the shackles of anxiety, embarrassment and worries about what other people think (his dad really doesn't give a sh*t). Conscious of his awesome potential and with a legitimate claim to the Turkish throne (Naz is a genuine Turkish Prince) he tries to vindicate his Ottoman heritage by becoming the man his father has always wanted him to be: Royal, aware and acting appropriately.

Beware: this man is sweaty, but very charismatic.

Already an Edinburgh regular with acclaimed, irreverent sketch trio WitTank, 1000% Awesome is Naz's first solo show to be brought to the Festival Fringe. Winner of the Amused Moose Laugh-Off Competition and Runner-up in So You Think You're Funny (2010) Naz was selected in 2010 to be one of the new stars on Laughter Shock for BBC Three, a hybrid of stand up and sketch comedy. Naz returned to Edinburgh 2010 and took part in the Festival's longest running group comedy show, The Comedy Zone, which previously launched the careers of Dave Gorman, Harry Hill, Stewart Lee, Al Murray and Ross Noble.
