Video: Bagpuss interviews Kevin Cruise at the fringe

It's the interview the world has been waiting for, as "old, saggy cloth cat" children's favourite Bagpuss poses some tough questions for Britain's Got Talent cruise-ship entertainer Kevin Cruise.

More details

Legendary high seas host Kevin Cruise has heard there's a new performance village at George Square Gardens that could do with a little bit of his Cruise Ship magic. The Fishy Rose, a 5000 passenger luxury liner Kevin has worked upon all his life, is due for a lengthy Summer dock, so Kevin is stepping off and onto dry land to bring Teatime Cruise Ship Capers to the Bosco. "Alright me lovers..."

Pack your bags and walk the boards into the Bosco where every show recreates the much-anticipated Welcome on Board The Fishy Rose Variety Entertainment Night. With Chief host Kevin Cruise and his dancers, prepare for a night of comedy, magic, game shows, song parodies and of course BINGO!

Born upon The Fishy Rose, yet abandoned at birth, Kevin has been dazzling guests on the ship ever since he can remember, with his first real on land venture only taking place a year ago. Docked in The Thames, Kevin caught wind of a variety show at Hammersmith Apollo and thought he'd join in. As it turned out, it was the launch show for Season 4 of Britain's Got Talent where he sailed through to the semi-finals after receiving a standing ovation in front of a televised audience of a staggering 14 million viewers.

But first before the Capers can begin, Kevin needs to audition dancers because his cheeky onboard dancers have taken off to Ibiza for the summer. Inspired by his audition on the aforementioned variety show, Kevin will hire out a local dance hall in Scotland and sit behind the judge's desk where he hopes to find his dancers. The audition process will be filmed and available to view online via his website.

Kevin Cruise is the comedy creation of comedian and actor Martin Cabble. Trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts it was working for various Cruise Companies and their colourful characters that two years ago gave Martin the idea to create a comedy character. "You can get away with a lot more!" he said.
