Introducing Australia's hottest musical comedy genius, Dave Eastgate, who is ready to strap on the leather, crank up the metal, and metaphorically smash your face with a plastic beer cup with his signature blend of stand-up comedy and balls out rockin' thunder!

Musical comedian Dave Eastgate brings his inventive and hilarious mix of stand-up and song to the Edinburgh Festival for his debut run. The show I Wish I Had A Band features every genre from rock and rap to emo and country. Last year Dave Eastgate played side-kick to Brendon Burns at the Udderbelly now he takes the centre stage!

Dave's co-hosts the off shoot TV show and is also the warm-up guy for Australian X Factor 2010 and 2011. He has just finished work on Australia's Got Talent 2011.

In 2001, aged 21, Dave headed to Osaka to perform as a roaming minstrel at Universal Studios Japan. Immersed in the language and culture of Japan, Dave spent 5 years performing his own characters and music in Japanese. Dave has also toured as a singer and guitar player with local bands, performed Japanese stand-up comedy and made several radio and television and radio appearances in Japan.

After sold out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Sydney Comedy Festival and a gig supporting Academy Award Winner Robin Williams; high-octane comedy rocker Dave Eastgate brings his kick-ass, brain blowing, one-man rock n' roll night train to this year's fringe.
