Criminy is a modern silent comedy about a bank heist. It is a fast-paced, highly physical play that blends traditional comedic elements with contemporary settings, music and imagery. We mix classic silent comedy techniques (pratfalls, prop gags and comic fighting) with new twists (modern costume, new situations and music from a range of genres) to create the 21st century equivalent of vintage slapstick theatre. Our work captures the freneticism and irreverence of silent comedy and reinterprets it with current flavour. We run around, we throw ourselves about, we may well fall over - we like to make people laugh.
