More details

It was a Friday night and the young, outgoing cast of Bristol Improv were, well, watching television as usual, when they realised the terrifying truth - "There's NOTHING on TV!" Using their improvisational superpowers, they set out to create the programmes they wanted to see - but would never be commissioned - in their brand-new improvised comedy show, Channel Hopping!

Channel Hopping! gives the audience the TV they want to see, by turning their suggestions for programmes, news reports and adverts into improvised comedy sketches. The talented comic performers showcase their slightly-too-good knowledge of television as the audience "channel hops", before producing a never-before-seen, never-to-be-repeated half-hour episode of an audience-suggested series. Unlike too much of real TV, this mixture of short- and long-form improvised comedy will never be repeated.

By day, Bristol Improv (Fawzi, Emily, Stephen, Egon, Max, Georgia, Nathan, Dan and Woody) are students at the University of Bristol. By night, they perform improvised comedy on the vibrant Bristol comedy scene. This summer, rather than taking a "gap yah", the all-new line-up is debuting their latest show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. This group of young comedians are the stars of tomorrow, as Bristol University overtakes Oxbridge as the academic establishment of choice for funny undergrads.
