After her hugely successful debut last year, Tiffany Stevenson, host of Edinburgh hit Old Rope returns to the Fringe with her "highly impressive, well crafted jokes" (The List), well, because her Mum told her to.

Tiffany believes we all have a dictator in our lives, thankfully not all of them are brutal, but most of them are highly effective. Her's is her Mum. Join Tiff as she wrangles with her Mum in her mind but invariably gives in to her in the end doing as she's told for an easy life. Tiff draws eloquent comparisons between her own situation and ones with a more global impact. Touching on feminism, politics and of course Heat Magazine this brilliantly witty, funny show has something for everyone.

As a stand up, Tiffany has performed at all the major comedy venues in the UK and more recently she has been writing and performing in sketches for Comedy Box and Comedy Demon. She has been a stand-up for just 4 years and burst onto the Edinburgh scene in 2006 playing the lead in Talk Radio helmed by Stewart Lee and featuring Mike McShane, Phil Nichol and Wil Adamsdale. Tiffany is also the brains behind top selling show in London and Edinburgh, Girls With Guns. This year will also be the fourth year she will host the hugely successful show Old Rope with Phil Nichol (Gilded Balloon 10.50pm - midnight).

Before stand-up, Tiffany embarked on a career as an actress when she got her first agent at the age of 17, landing roles in FWTV, The Office, Chambers, Absolute Power and as the lead character Colleen in the gritty British Indie film Spinning Candyfloss. Along the way she has shared screen time with Stephen Fry, Ricky Gervais, Vincent Franklin, Nina Wadia and John Bird to name a few. She has recently appeared in the Dizzee Rascal video Dirty Cash.

Last year's debut show, Along Came A Spider was named the Independents No 1, Don't Miss Show in Edinburgh 2009.
