Brand new material and unscripted improvisation are his trademark. Share Paul's acute observations on subjects such as how the word 'irony' is replacing the word 'offensive' and has become the new 'PC' way of behaving distastefully. Why can he get away with putting on ethnic accents when a white person doing the same would be considered racist? And why don't his friends like it when he orders Chinese food from a Chinese restaurant in the same accent as the waiter? 'Brutally honest, internationally acclaimed' (Time Out); 'A star in the making' (Daily Telegraph).

Constantly challenging and relentlessly inventive comedy fuels an eclectic set punctuated by impressive feats of mimicry and verbal dexterity. Paul riffs with brand new material and unscripted improvisation on subjects such as how the word 'ironic' replaced the word 'offensive' and became the PC way of behaving distastefully, and why his friends don't like it when he orders from a Chinese restaurant in the same accent as the waiter. Paul's highly charged dry observational humour taps into the multicultural diversity of contemporary Britain.

He has been described by Eastern Eye Newspaper as a "dangerous comic genius." He is never far from controversy. He was a topic of discussion in tabloids across the UK after a racist heckler attacked him. Also a huge acting talent, Chowdhry recently appeared in the feature film Swinging With The Finkles alongside Melissa George, and in Colour Me Kubrick with John Malkovich. He says: "I see myself as a comedian who happens to be Indian, not an Indian comedian. It's hard to lecture people but easier to break down barriers by making people laugh. It doesn't always work; I've spoken to the BNP and they missed the irony and thought I was one of them." Such incidents have only encouraged him to break down racial barriers in the name of comedy. He even jokes about a racist attack early in his life when he was left for dead. Paul has distinguished himself as one of the most talented and popular UK comedians to have recently emerged. He has performed around the world, from Canada to Hong Kong, Dubai to Amsterdam, Germany to South Africa. Inspired by comedians such as Richard Prior, George Carlin and Sam Kinison, he is one of the few comedians to effortlessly straddle the urban and main stand-up circuits as an international headline act.

This revolutionary underground comedian sold out the West End's Leicester Square Theatre and other major venues across the country with his solo show The Ironic Iconic. He featured as the headlining act of The Comedy Store TV Special and Comedy Blue series for Comedy Central. He presented the MTV Comedy Weekend and performed on MTV's The Young Gods of Comedy to rave reviews. He is amongst the few comedians to have performed at the Wembley Arena.
