Sent this to BBC Points of View, don't know why I have never thought of it

I was wondering why the BBC's longest running sitcom of the 1990's has yet to be released in full on DVD?

Surely it's time the Porter family got the recognition they deserve after serving BBC One so well between 1991 - 1999?

At least repeat it on BBC One or Two instead of endless Dad's Army and Only Fools and Horses episodes.

It has to be one of the only major sitcoms of the 1990's not to be released on DVD, in fact I think it was not only the longest running (without a break) BBC sitcom of the 90's but the longest running in the UK.

I think it's time the BBC gave it some recognition

I can see your admiration for the series, David. But I think 2Entertain have probably decided not to release them as the previous DVD releases obviously didn't sell well. Good luck to you if the Beeb do say 'yes' to your petition but I can't see it myself. Plus, I think you'll find the longest running sitcom in the UK and the world is Last Of The Summer Wine.

But then you can't call "Wine" a 90s show. No one calls the Stones a 80s popband although they relesed records during that decade (and every other decade since then).

But we're talking about longest running, not most typical.

Nobody ever got anywhere when they gave up, so I am not giving up. Fight til the death.

Okay, it's time for me to bore you all again with a request to please email DVDenquiryline@2entertain.co.uk and request that 2point4 Children is released on DVD! The more times they receive emails about it the better the chance of them looking into it further as they review titles they have had interest in each quarter (so they say). If you can, also mention that you have contacted Eureka Video who released Series 1-3 who have said that their licence to release the series expired in late 2008 (2entertain keep trying to bluff their way out of a proper response by claiming Eureka own the rights when they no longer do lol) so note the email address, DVDenquiryline@2entertain.co.uk - just mention 2point4 Children, every email will help
