Hmmm My memory was deficient about Alomo's productions after the sale to Pearsons/Fremantle. Marks & Gran's own website shows that the later programmes were after the change.

Would you know if The New Statesman was recorded at Elstree?

Seasons three and four fit into the timeframe.

Thanks in advance.

Well I do remember having a beer with Rik Mayall and Laurence Marks in the bar at Elstree, if that helps.

Yes it was. There was a memorable episode with Rik running down a corridor with explosions going off around him. Rather than sensibly pre-recording it, it was done with the audience, technical things meaning that it had to be shot three times with lengthy delays to re-set the explosives. The recording ended at around 1pm, with me and a colleague the only audience members.

Thanks for coming back to me on this and sharing more interesting memories.
