Doctor Who... Page 1,024

I thought Ecclestone made it clear he wanted nothing to do with it from the very earliest stages.

There were two meetings with Moffat apparently, so I suppose there must have been a vague chance at one point, before he said no. Which is a shame. Especially if it was anything to do with his career, as Who obviously has a much larger presence and appreciation in the U.S. since his day.

I don't think Coburn did invent the Tardis, for one thing; they're over-egging that statement. I believe he may have chosen the initial outside appearance in his script, though. It was originally supposed to change from then on every episode. Also, I think he was a BBC employed staff writer, so wouldn't that mean they owned his work anyway?

New mini-episode - OH YES INDEED!!

Woww, that was so good!

Shan I can't f**king stand it honestly, it bores me silly. I know it's dead popular it's been running for years, but I have never watched a single episode even when Wurzel Gummidge was the GP.

Odd thread to find yourself in then.

Likes that a lot.

Nice one Moffat.

Awesome shame we don't seem to be seeing much more McGanne

nb is this Dr a Geordie

What the heck was that???

I don't get what's going on any more :S

Who was the first man? Who was the woman?
Is this supposed to be the doctor from the very beginning?

It looked good, was well acted but most of all it had a coherent story and effective fx.

Respect to old who, with character strength new who,

I hope that 8 minutes is the shape of things to come.

Sootyj, when you say 'old who', do you mean the fist man? Is he meant to be the original doctor? Thanks.

The fist man? I know it's gone a bit racy with leather coats and what knots but given the time slot,no pun intended, I doubt it.

Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

He makes it bigger on the inside than the outside.

So, is Smith the 12th Doctor now then, if Ecclescake was, I suppose, the 10th?

Yeah, I think that's going to become established canon now.

I really liked the mini-episode. It's a shame the special couldn't have kicked off with that prologue on the night. McGann deserves the recognition.
