Spring In Park Lane (1948)

Not a fan of Romcoms as they are known now (I would lose the will to live watching "Love Actually" et al for example), but I do like Michael Wilding who is the male lead in this as an impoverished aristocrat, who tries to get into the knickers of Anna Neagle (who made the film with her husband Herbert Wilcox) who is the niece/PA to a very rich diamond merchant/art collector, by posing as a member of his household staff.

Only other faces I recognised were Nigel Patrick as a dodgy spiv and Carol Vordeman's "mum" Lana Morris.

Few smile moments in it for me, but no comedy as such, with mixed reviews on the IMDb.

sounds very romantic.

They didn't mess about in them days - and they say the young today are liberated.

sounds very romantic.

There's loving and bonking - two totally different sexual pursuits. :D (can't find an emoji for having it off)
