Hi. I was discussing an interview sketch by a Danish comedian with a friend. This comedian has a history of "borrowing" material from UK and US comedians. And then I saw a version of this sketch with Rowan Atkinson (https://youtu.be/Nl0HqlbX7dc). A-HA I thought, so there is where he has lifted it from.

The only problem is that the Danish bit is from 1989 and the Atkinson bit is from 1991. So can anybody tell me if this sketch has been don in one form or another, before 1989?

Not seen the video but there are times when things happen totally independently from other unrelated sources, someone in China invents a wheel, two weeks later a guy in Egypt makes one, thousands of miles apart and no link but it just happens.

I can't be 100% certain, but it's likely Atkinson was performing it years before that recording.
