It's not on Freeview 96.

Oh well, can't help you there I'm afraid - I get mine through Sky. Maybe re-tune? Or google "Forces TV Freeview".

Yes, 7.25am tomorrow morning

AND two other excellent films.......

Monday

6.35pm "Jigsaw" - bloody good murder film with Jack Warner, set in and around Brighton

10.00pm "Lady Godiva Rides Again" Loads of stars with the gorgeous Diana Dors, who coincidentally sort of played Ruth Ellis who is also in this film! - The last woman to hang in Britain in "Yield to the Night" (brilliant film!! Superbly played by Diana).

The Good and The Bad....................on TPTV of course :-

Monday 21st at midnight "Turn The Key Softly" - BRILLIANT!! And have a hankie ready for the end. Teary

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046471/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

AND IN COMPLETE CONTRAST - one and a half hours later :-

"No Sex Please, We're British" from 1973 with Ronnie Corbett who I would think..........well, dunno what to say about this utter load of tosh. Brits can make shit films along with the best of them - that's for sure.

If you're into Sid James, his daughter Reina talks about her father on TPTV Friday 8th 7.40 am in an episode of "Talking Pictures"

"She discusses how few people knew Sid's real laugh." ?

New series of Father Brown starts on BBC1 13.45 tomorrow (Monday) & then daily (Mon-Fri) for 10 episodes. If past years are anything to go by, this will be followed by a new series of Shakespeare & Hathaway in a fortnight's time.*

Also on Monday afternoon 15.45 TPTV - Seance on a Wet Afternoon - Exceptionally good but largely overlooked (despite being Oscar & BAFTA nominated) crime drama, well worth watching, starring Richard Attenborough and Kim Stanley).

*Edit: Apologies - Monday's episode - and the ensuing nine - are in fact repeats of series 7 from two years ago. New series of Father Brown - and therefore a new series of Shakespeare & Hathaway - are, like the Christmases of Scrooge's third ghost, yet to come.

Certainly is, as is 99.99% of what Attenborough is in.

Watching Reina James interview on TPTV about her father Sid, she pointed out that he was born on Hancock Street in Jobo, SA.

Hurrah! Starting from Saturday 6th Feb., TPTV are replicating, from 9 to 12, "Saturday Morning Pictures", which was a must for us Baby Boomers as we were sent packing to the local Ritz with our tanner (6d = 2½p) for a feast of, usually, a cartoon, edge of the seat serial, cowboy film and maybe an educational film, and half way through, if it was your birthday, they would have you up on the stage to receive a present. Can't remember what they were now.

Such happy memories, then out at midday to pour into the toy section of the local department store to see what we could afford/steal Pirate in the way of plastic soldiers etc.

It was a great time. Commando Cody, Loony Tunes, a zoom or a Fab and I think it was 1 shilling in the mid 60's
Or free if your mates let you in through the emergency exit.
