** Recording Cancellation: In light of current events, we have decided to cancel the audience for this recording. We're sorry for the short notice and for the disappointment caused by this. **

I wonder if the show will benefit from not having an audience.

Not waiting for the laughs might mean they can fit in a few more sketches/gags

I assume it's still going ahead this week then? Just want to make sure I'm not wasting my time before I write six more jokes for them to reject! :P

They have cancelled audiences

I assume they will still make a show. But we know what they say about assumption

I wonder how they will do the "nearly"s then - I always assumed they cut the ones that don't get much of a laugh from the audience?

They could do a compilation of cut for time material

Two Corona-y sketches and five oneliners submitted. Feels like this one will be a weird show without a live studio audience. Good luck everybody.

Maybe a laughter track from an old 'Game For A Laugh' could be edited in to show how funny some of us really are ?

( For those with long memories Not The Nine O'Clock News did a good take on the above show - probably on YT somewhere but I'm too inept to put up a link )

Thanks GAP1 - much appreciated

btw, anyone going to the virtual recording today ?

Thank f**k that's over.

Good luck for today's show although it doesn't seem very important at the moment.

I hope you all stay safe and that by September we'll have returned to the privileged position of being able to worry about Newsjack emails.

The absence of an audience may (I say "may") result in Kiri reducing her faux-excitement a little.

I'll be grateful even if she only turns it down to eleven.

Yes. Stay safe as much as is possible, all of you. I fear we are in for the long haul with this. Hope to 'see' you all back in September; this won't be over by then, but the show will probably go on.

Just got a nearly.
