Actually, 'prorogued' could be even better than 39 points. Assuming OR is already down, and you can fit the PROGUED around it, think you'll get 50 for just laying down all 7 letters, and that's without the possible extra word / letter bonuses
Worth bearing in mind for the Christmas Scrabble session, newsjackers

I'll get my coat.......

Me thoughts exactly. I'd be very disappointed with 39.

I went for disappointing monsters and sexy Brexit.

Week one is a warm-up week though, right?

I think there was a bit about sexy Brexit but I can't remember the detail. Good luck if it's yours.

I had a joke that was just like mine but the ending was a bit different. I'm guessing someone had a similar idea.

I doubt anybody ever sent a unique joke to NewsJack.

If anybody did, he/she was either shite at comedy or brilliant at it - one or the other! Laughing out loud

My sketch was about emergency Brexit bags. I only sent one in. Fingers crossed for the oneliners then, as I'm post-op and can't get to gigs, so this is all the comedic muscle I'm getting to flex at the moment.

Yes indeed it is a warm-up week.
