It was a joke? Didn't the "Doping the half time orange - 50p a slice." give you a clue? :S

A friend of mine is supposed to be going to Corfu with them on Monday. Have they gone bust?

I think it's getting close from the news reports today that they need to raise £200m to stay in business. On the radio a customer said they had paid £500 deposit and were being told by Thomas Cook they have to pay the outstanding balance today to avoid losing their deposit. They were unsure if they should write off the deposit or pay the balance demanded today but it seems like a no brainer to not pay another penny. It sounds like they are trying to get as much cash as possible without any guarantee and that should be illegal. I'm surprised Thomas Cook has stayed in business this long so it's had a good innings.
