Have a look at this 22-second sketch: do you get it or not?

If you've got a few seconds to spare, would you be kind enough to have a look at this sketch?

Written by our own much-loved Carlos Manwelly, opinion is divided as to whether or not people who watch the sketch are going to get the joke.

Some people say the sketch works perfectly well as it stands while others say it needs rewriting a little in order to make sure people get it.

Please have a look, and leave your comment.

If you get it straight away (after one viewing), please say so.

If it takes you more than one viewing, please say so.

This is a bit of a weird one because tbh I didn't get it. Then I did on the third viewing (having read the comments on the thread) and couldn't believe how stupid I had been not to get it. Obviously there is an odd issue with it. Otherwise the question would not have been raised. I'm not sure, though, how it could have been done differently. I very much like his work. When I used to look at that section of this forum frequently, it really stood out to me as being good and I frequently said so. Ultimately, I felt that reviewing was not quite for me, not that I couldn't do it but it was just one man's opinion.

Of course Lazzard and beaky are right. It's probably your hating of repetition clouding your judgement.

Many jokes work on the call back and there's not much here to call back to.

To clarify, are you saying you didn't get it?

I got it, and it was well executed, but is it not an old joke?

I got it first time.
Love Carlos's sketches.

His McDonald's home delivery sketch being his best for me.

Straight away.
(Probably because I was watching so carefully, I rather anticipated the gag.)

Follow-up:

Friend: How did you find the therapy?
Man: Sat-Nav.

If Brexit teaches us anything, it's that it doesn't matter how many people think something is right.
Not when it's wrong, anyway :D
Honoured that my opinion carries so much weight that it has been put to a public vote.
I shall of course ignore it and continue to campaign for a 2nd Line Referendum.

Oh there really should be a 'like' button on here.
That made me laugh Lazzard.
