Nextup Comedy

Hey all,

As comedy fans, I thought I would share this with you - as I think some of you may well be interested! I have just signed up to NextUp Comedy. It bills itself as the Netflix of UK Stand-up comedy and has a lot of shows of UK based comedians ready to view on demand. It also has the ability to download them to view offline.

It seems relatively reasonable to me at the moment in terms of pricing, £4.99/ month or £49.99/ year.

Is this something that people would be generally interested in?
I know that Amazon have a few comedy specials and Netflix has quite a few high profile comedians on their platform. Then the likes of the BBC still have 'Live at the Apollo' etc.
NextUp comedy seems to focus on the comedy tour circuit rather than TV comedians/ comedians who can fill a stadium for a TV special.

What do you think, is this something that would interest you?

Also, for those that do use NextUp Comedy, what else do you think could be added to make it work better?
I think they should introduce links to the comedians websites to encourage people to go and see live comedy would be good.
I think the ability to download and watch on the move (as you can with Netflix) would be really good.

Otherwise, I am quite happy with the service, and impressed by the increasing number of shows on the site.

Thanks :)
