8 Out Of 10 Cats - Series 21

So, Series 21 finally makes it to the screen, but as there is no thread maybe I'm the only person who saw it this week. (Last night was it? All a bit of a blur this week :( )

Seems to have lost its spark and I think the Countdown version is now funnier, or maybe it was just the people who were on it - Jimmy as always is ace. He was very good on Sunday Brunch this week too. Made me laugh when they had been testing several strong drinks (including a strong Guinness/Rum concoction of his own) and by the time they got to his cooking spot he said he was now so woozy he had to think carefully before answering for fear of swearing. SB is live of course.

I watched it too, I thought it was as good as ever. Personally, I prefer it over the Countdown version - I think that's had its day a little bit now. Long may regular cats continue!

Catherine Bohart is living proof that you can see an attractive lesbian without watching a porn movie.

She also has a talent for comedy - so what's not to love?

I really enjoyed. A welcome breath of fresh air.

I enjoyed it. Very pleased that Catherine Bohart is getting more telly work, she'll go stratospheric soon enough. I do prefer Countdown but that's mainly for Sean and Jon

Has anyone else noticed it seems to take forever for the 8 Out Of 10 Cats guide to load.. there seems to be an issue with the page?

Either way, I'm looking forward to the new episode again tonight.

Much better tonight (maybe I was half asleep last week - not unusual) - I was getting quite turned on by Sara Pascoe's naughty insights. I first saw her and took a shine to her when she was on Taskmaster, and now it's lurve. Lovey

Episode 2 was very good.

I'm not a fan of Russell Kane or Rylan but Rob Beckett and the three women were excellent!

No, love Russell Kane - does brilliant stand-up and although I dismissed Rylan many years ago, I find now he is quite good fun as never takes himself seriously.

Loved Jimmy's continuous pumping (ooer) of Oti about the "affairs" on Strictly - poor girl was afraid to speak sometimes for fear of being deliberately misinterpreted. Very funny.

While I'm not the biggest Cats fan and still prefer the Countdown version, I absolutely love that they give new comics the chance to shine on telly. Just as Catherine Bohart was brilliant last week, so Maisie Adams stole it this week.

Maisie Adams stole it this week.

Maisie Adam is arguably the most talented and original "new" comedian in Britain (regardless of gender) - and she's actually a lot better at the job than many of her well-established fellows.

In an age when many a woman comedian walks on stage with nothing more than her BAME/LGBT credentials to justify her being anywhere near a microphone on a comedy show, Maisie is recognisable as a significant comedy talent as soon as she starts to talk to the audience.

High-quality material, high-quality delivery, high-quality everything!

I've enjoyed this series as much as ever, just a pity it's tucked away on E4. Looks like tonight's ep is the last in the series. What's happened to Episode 10?

Good question. Maybe they aren't planning another series this year and it's a Christmas special? Are there any big things happening over the summer that it could be a special for?
