Shameless - Series 5 Page 4

.. not sure if there is another thread, but what do you all think of the new Shameless series?

Personally, I think it's lost a little bit of it's original "crit" and the storylines seem a bit rushed to me?

First two series were excellent, third was okay and I thought it had dropped a lot in quality in series four. Lots of the best original characters have left now and it doesn't feel the same.

I agree.

I stopped watching after a few epsodes of series four.

I still watch it, in the hope that things will develop, but even on Episode 3 of this new series, it's like a flicker pad of scripts and brief episode based plots.

I'd prefer to see the birth of a good storyline, carried over 2-3 episodes. Right now, it's a case of too much going on, reaching a conclusion before you have fully digested the whole deal.

Although still not at it's best, this week's episode was more in line with "Classic Shameless" ... where there were hints of longer story lines and better covered plots (if that makes sense)

P.S. Can you imagine Frank as your representative in a court case? lol

I hate Shameless.

Shameless has been described as 'poverty porn', which seems like a good enough tag to me, especially if you don't want to use the words 'beyond' and 'toilet'.

If there's a new series of the show, then a new thread is required. Thanks.
