Sorry if this should be very basic knowledge but I'm struggling with it.

Writers Room submission rules state that the entry needs to be at least 30 minutes/pages.

So can anyone advise whether it MUST be at least 30 minutes in length or not?

We have something over 30 pages but shorter (just) than 30 minutes.

Whereas we've also got at least 30 minutes with well over 30 pages.

Oh the quandary!

I think if they like your work they wouldn't give a shit if it's longer or shorter than the ideal.

I'm with beaky, don't worry about the rules too much, just give them a great piece of work. If they turn quality away then f**k them and try it elsewhere. When you have received 500 'rejections' then probably try a different piece of work.

Oh, I'm pretty sure if we're unsuccessful it'll be down to a technicality based on the rules.

Laughing out loud

In my case they don't put mine through as they intend to steal all my brilliant ideas and rework them into their own scripts. I've followed them home and seen them doing it on the bus.

You were expecting people as tanned as you, Frank? They weren't being judged on their looks.

Ah, but they're drama writers! Comedy writers look a lot more sensible.
