Derry Girls - Series 1

Anyone else catch episode one? I found it refreshing - a pilot episode that both defined the characters and was actually funny. Nice to see Tommy Tiernan too, hope he gets more to do.

I must see that one.

It was great. Loved the main nun especially. But everyone made me laugh.

What station is it on?

Channel 4. If you click on the big picture at the top of the thread you can find out all sorts!

OK - it worked this time but I tried earlier and it didn't seem to work!

LOVED this. So very funny. Can't wait to see the rest of the series. I hope it's been recommissioned already - six is just not enough!

Excellent, looking forward to the rest! Lisa Mcgee is on top form, I still wish London Irish had continued. Here's to many more!

Ditto. Really enjoyed that show too.

That's the best new sitcom of 2018 sorted. We're not going to top that.

So, it looks like we're in the best possible position with this - still five episodes left to devour and a second series already confirmed!

I'm delighted, wonderful news. Looking forward to E2 tonight!

Wife was watching it. It looks ok.

Weaker than Episode 1, but still a very enjoyable episode tonight with some good laughs in. If they're following the scheduling pattern of putting the poorest episode second, then I'll be very happy with the series indeed.

Loved it, although the accent's a bit hard to understand at times.
