Hi there.

I started stand up comedy in 2016 and have now also progressed into promoting & organising comedy shows, plus compering.

Therefore, my question is for the Comedy Promoters out there!! Do you necessarily need to take out public liability insurance as the promoter for the event, and if so, could anyone recommend good value for money policies out there that don't make it ridiculously expensive to promote an event!!

Thanks in advance.

Well, did anybody answer? If yes, or if he's actually broken a rule or is definitely a robot, then maybe we can boot him.

Take advice from an insurance company, they will know. Liability insurance is cheap unless what you do is particularly risky. All business have a duty to cover their liabilities, so unless you have deep pockets and can self insure...
