Josie Long: A Request from An American

HELLO PEOPLE OF THE UNITED KINGDOM!

I'm a big fan of the comedian Josie Long and her recent show Cara Josephine is not available for shipment to the US. (Seriously I'm very sorry about Donald Trump.) I assume even if it was the DVD would be incompatible with my American DVD player since the powers that be see fit to keep our regions separate.

SO! My idea/request is I would love it if someone could purchase said DVD available here...

And rip it into a file and then upload it to some file sharing site that I could download it from. I'd be happy to pay $20 American dollars in some PayPal, something UK I've never heard of money sending way! This is also a great chance to take advantage of my trusting nature/Josie Long fandom to rip me off for $20! I'm really really sorry about Donald Trump. Really really sorry.

Anyone who would be up for it and knows how to rip things and the like let me know.

You guys have some great comedians!

Hi Ellen, I think the plan is sound until it gets to the file sharing part which sounds piracy-acy. I thought you were going to say buy the DVD and then ship it over.

I can't help with that DVD but trusty CEX has a result which looks a must have for a Josie Long fan.

Thanks Tarby! I wasn't going to share the link or repost it to anyplace where other people could get it. It would just be for me. Although now that I think about it I guess two people would have the DVD for the price of one of them so, ya, that is kind of piratey isn't it. Unfortunately, I don't think any DVD sold only in the UK would play on my American machine so shipping wouldn't do any good.

Pawn shops will have DVD players that can play all regions.

DVD region restrictions are so frustrating aren't they... Perhaps it's available to stream somewhere (legal of course)?

This no-frills Blu-ray player is $89 and will play all regions of DVDs; there's a code that you can enter to play all regions of Blu-ray discs, too. It ships free in the U.S. and there's no sales tax outside of NY/NJ. I haven't tried one, but I'll probably buy one sooner or later so that I can play my UK DVDs.
