Opportunity for emerging comedians

Drink-Less.org is an innovative new program developed to offer education, mentoring and support to anyone in the world who wants to drink less. The 1.0 rollout of the DrinkLess program will begin in January 2017.

Whilst many jokes are made about drinking, it actually is one of the worlds biggest killers, and the majority of the worlds population have little or no access to help.

Research shows that the "urge' to drink normally last 22 minutes, so as part of the revolutionary new program we offer our users a number of diversionary tactics that they can access through the program when they have the urge to pick up a drink. We are offering emerging comedians the opportunity to showcase their work to our audience users through a series of short 22-25 minute comedy sessions with the intention of distracting our users until their urge to drink goes away.

Whilst we are not in a position to pay the comedians for their work, we offer the opportunity to emerging comedians to showcase their work to our users, and we will provide links on our site to your youtube page, website, facebook or other media presence. We believe this is a win-win as our users will overcome their urge to drink, and you will get the opportunity to get yourself and your work out there. You are helping others and helping yourself.

The content of the comedy sessions does not need to be about drinking, in fact it is better if it is not as we are trying to distract these people from their urge to drink. Comedy without too much sexually explicit detail or excessive language will be particularly well regarded as we can distribute this to a wider audience.

If you are an emerging comedian who wants the opportunity to get yourself out to thousands of engaged listeners then I look forward to hearing from you.

Is the service you intend to provide a fee paying one, as it states on your web site?

If so, don't you think you should be paying for content?

Or is everyone else working for nothing - not just the writers?

As our site mentions, the proceeds from the sale of the program go to providing the service in developing nations.

That said, I see this as an opportunity for emerging comedians to make themselves known, as is an open-mic night.

So a not-for-profit organisation, in other words.
