Yes, and a good age at 90. The man who went there, but didn't get to stand on the moon. RIP Sir.

Those guys were something special.

I spent 13 years working for a company founded by Apollo 12's Pete Conrad, He died in a Harley wreck a few months before I came aboard, but TK Mattingly (exposed to measles prior to Apollo 13, finally flew on Apollo 16) was on our board of directors and it was an honor to have met him. Elon Musk says he can put people on the Moon as early as 2024, so I hope the surviving Apollo astronauts will live long enough to see it happen.

When we had clever and funny adverts - not the cynical crap we have today.

What a good looking bloke, and only 59 - RIP Mr Kamen.

Joe Mercer aged 86. No, not that one. Champion jockey 1979 and rider of the legendary Brigadier Gerard in all of his 17 wins. I spent my 19th birthday travelling to Newmarket to watch him ride Brigadier Gerard to win his last race.

Andy Fordham, the darts player, aged only 59 - mind you the last time I saw him on the box, he'd lost 16 stone (!) and didn't look at all well.

Lovely bloke RIP Mr Fordham

Just heard that on the news. Rest In Peace Mr. O'Connor.

The archetypal quiz show host and good comedian, especially relating stories of times gone by, and loved the Crosswits quiz he used to host on lunchtime TV.

"What do you do for a living sir?"

"I'm in oil"

"Are you a sardine?"
