She was in the Vernons Girls and the Ladybirds. They had their own records but also backed the wonderful Sandie when she won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1967 and also appeared regularly on Benny Hill's show.

Here she is in the centre backing Benny in an early version of Ernie.

BBC News have reported that Dale Winton's agent has stated he passed away today aged 62. Very sad and only a few days ago I was thinking about In It To Win It and if it would be on again.

This won't mean much to many people on here apart from a few football fans.

RIP Barrie Williams, Sutton United manager when we knocked Coventry City out of the FA Cup in 1989. He was a character famous for his Rudyard Kipling quotations.

RIP Barrie Williams, Sutton United manager when we knocked Coventry City out of the FA Cup in 1989. He was a character famous for his Rudyard Kipling quotations.

My mate is a lifelong city fan and at school he had a season ticket for Coventry matches and one time around 1989 I went with him to visit his family for a bite to eat and then we walked to the stadium for the match. I've never been a big football fan but it was a good day out. I once went to a cousins wedding in Coventry and the mayor of Coventry was there. I think that's all my cov triv spent.

I remember Barrie and Sutton beating Coventry. As famous as Hereford United in 1972.
1989! Blimey !nearly 30 years ago.
