Out of a longlist of eight, two have been optioned. As Lazzard says: 'You can't argue with that.'

We're very proud of our writers and the hard work that they put into last year's Sitcom Mission.Let's aim even higher this time...

A brilliant result. No doubt these writers were too posh to hang round here, though? Shame.

I'm a US citizen living in LA, can I still submit?

Yes, we're an international competition and have showcased US and German writers before.

We're looking for funny, original and marketable material regardless of where it comes from.

And some of our favourite sitcoms are American btw.

Thanks guys! I look forward to submitting!

Declan/Simon. I've looked through the rules.

So this is a straight-forward 15 minute sitcom. No cliff-hangers? No votes for the pay-off?

Since we launched in 2010, we've been the same script format - a funny, interesting, marketable rollercoaster of 15 minutes with a beginning, middle and end that makes us want to marry your writer self.

For cliff-hangers and votes for the pay-off, go to The Sitcom Trials So You Think You Write Funny http://sitcomtrials.co.uk/

Thanks Declan. I'm getting old and confused.
