Newsjack Series 13 Page 4

I would strongly advise not putting your submissions up here before each week's Newsjack has actually been broadcast, as you run the risk of them no longer being considered original material.

What topics did you use this week? We did sketches on BBC in N Korea and British Rowers winning gold. Our advert was on men's skincare.

Are you and Viv an item now? Keep seeing your names popping up in the NR writing credits.

I went for a sketch on the new Bond being a Bollywood actor.

Breaking news on the 7-day NHS row, Superhenge and the drone at the US Open

Viewsjack on Dismaland, the Hungarian refugee train and Sarah Palin speaking American.

Also, at the last minute decided to put in a silly one about the Trainspotting sequel being announced

I was going to do one on it being based on Irvine Welsh's "Porno", and the opening scene being Renton turning up to fix Begbie's dishwasher.

Thought that might be considered a bit racy for Radio 4 Extra though :)

Hello - yes, we've been writing together since NJ series 11 - but we've really only just started getting things on NR as a joint effort - had a couple of things this summer.

Good point.

For topics I went for the Labour leadership election, the London clinic that accidentally revealed patient's HIV status, Donald Trump, Jose Mourinho and the doctor and the death of the medium Colin Fry (those last two are a few weeks old but thought I might get away with it in the first episode).

I only got one sketch done in time this week thanks to a bout of flu. That was on the child health postcode lottery.

Also did breaking news items on US Open drone and world's wooliest sheep and viewsjacks on the El Salvador baby swap, ambergris auction, shortage of snake bite antidote and Sheridan Smith's TV Choice award.

Fingers crossed. Good luck everyone.

Great to hear a lot of diversity with the topics. I wish everyone the best of luck.

I wrote for Newsjack last series for the first time and didn't get a credit, hopefully this time I at least get one.

The topics I chose for sketches were - Scammers and schools demanding money from parents

Viewsjacks and breaking news were a mix of - England football, migrant crisis and something else I can't remember.

Good luck everyone!

Anyone going to the record tonight?

Anyone going to the record tonight?

I am! I'll be wearing a fetching ensemble of a khaki sack thing and blue-and-cream stripy trousers. Watch out, London Fashion Week...

Any chance of a brief write-up of sketches and lines that you can remember from tonight? I love a bit of false hope.

Hey Viv, can you keep an ear out for a BBC N. Korea advert, a charity bullying campaign sketch or/and a Cameron Merkel refugee crisis sketch?

I did the naked rambler being released from prison. In a very juvenile way.

Was it that juvenile? :)
