So a lot of people agree that woman should have the right to choose, but I think [mini pause] well I'm paying for it?

Why confuse the joke with "28 or 29 year olds"?
The original version is 28 years olds, isn't it?
Why do people do this? Take an old joke and then add a little bit of pointless frippery to it, which makes the joke slightly shitter?

Fair enough (I think it's very similar to a Jimmy Carr joke), but it's still a bad piece of joke construction IMHO.
Anything which doesn't add to the joke, detracts, there's no need for it to be "28 or 29 year olds" when "28 year olds" works perfectly week and doesn't add any superfluous or confusing detail.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a joke pedant, but these things can be the difference between a good joke and an average, or even bad joke.
and either way it's just a dullish pun to make a joke about paedophilia.
