Writing TV

Has anyone been on one of these courses before?

http://www.writingtv.co.uk/

It looks like a good course.

It looks like a very reasonably priced course and fun.

But there's a big emphasis on all the; write the bible, pitch the script stuff.

And not so much on the actual grind of writing it.

So it's probably fun for your money but not much more.

TBH the most useful course I ever did was the Birkbeck diploma in screen writing.

Cost I think close to a grand and 3 months of evening classes, in a chilly LSE class room with lashings of homework.

But at the end I wrote a couple of screenplays both of which I sold [and one day some day will get filmed]. And my stuff now looks like it's supposed to usually.

Thanks Sooty. It may be good for a start (at my age - ha ha!) and then I'll look at other things later. I've got about 3 or 4 what I think are good storylines.
