The Switzerland Thread Page 25

It's really annoying, we've had enough chances to finish the game before the penalties. It's always the same, Switzerland just can't win a match in ko-stage of a tournament, even if we dominate the match.

Well, at least I still got the Hungarian team to cheer for.

Well, they are underdogs but at least they've won their group and advanced to the ko-stage the "normal" way...unlike some of the other teams in the 1/8 finals.

Sad to see Federer losing but he is VERY old now and Raonic played well.

I'm not sure it was his age what made him lose this match today. The fact that he had a tough fivesetter in the previous match worried me a lot but it didn't seem to really affect him. He appeared a lot fitter than I had expected. He was dominating the game from the third set on but didn't take his chances in the fourth (Raonic was struggling in almost all of his serving games). The loss of the fourth set was very unnecessary, too many unforced errors and some poor decisions. Maybe in the fifth set he finally was a bit tired...slipped out in the 3rd game, hurt his knee and lost his serving game...and that was it then.

You're going to have to look for a newer model to champion, Gordon. ;)
