Nice thread and RC was a viper.

I take it that you don't know that RC died unexpectedly in his sleep a few years ago.

He did love stirring up discussion on here though.

I did know that he has passed away and I think it was before I joined so I never had any 'encounters'. I would have liked that.

He was one of the wittiest and most likeable people I've ever known. I'm glad I got to enjoy a pint (or twenty) with him (and other BCG members) over the course of a few nights in 2014. Rest in peace, James.

Both of our lotteries are up to large enough jackpots that I just bought 5 tickets for each after I finished up my shopping. Winning the lottery might be fraught with peril, but I'm willing to give it a go.

Actually, it's possible to make money with gambling. For example, my friend makes a living playing online casino games. Maybe it sounds weird but if you treat it seriously and have your own strategy, it's easy to earn. Personally, I don't like casino, I prefer sports betting which is lucrative as well https://anjun1.net/

My son has played a lot and lost a lot

Now he doesn't play them any more, having learnt his lesson, thank heavens.

Even luckier, I also had a "consolation prize" of a Lucky Dip ticket from the previous week, which happened to have to same three numbers in the ticket AND, of course, I won £30 on that too!

£60 - they most I've ever won on the lottery. :D

Yes, have been buying them for years as an alternative to ISAs, which are crap at the moment, not unless you invest in the stock market ones.
I have a tidy sum now in PBs and do very well in regular wins of £25 - £100, but am still waiting for the big one, or at least bigger than £25!
It used to be reckoned as a rough guide, that if you held £30,000 worth, you should get a prize a month - usually £25 of course. :D

Not bad!

Considering they lowered the rate on them just recently too ...
