For those new to the site, a quick explanation: we've been running these awards since 2006 now. It is your chance to help name the best (and worst) TV and radio comedies of the year just gone.

Unlike the British Comedy Awards, there's no shortlist (all shows are automatically listed to give everything a chance) and no jury - it's entirely down to the fans.

The sitcom categories are particularly tough to pick this year I think. Enjoy!

I really do love the system you've built, what with the option to skip and make half selections for some of us more lazy comedy fans who may have not seen many of the shows up for selection.

The Mimic got my overall vote. Really enjoyed its style and pace. Would like to see more.

Encouraging I guess that the options under new TV sitcom were a lot more appetising than those for returning TV sitcom; the TV panel show and TV entertainment choice were pretty dire, and there was not many options under TV sketch show or TV comedy drama either.

Lots to choose from though on the radio, particularly in the entertainment show and sketch show fields.

Should Toast of London not be on the best new sitcom list?

I could barely name two programmes I liked in every category but one: comedy drama.

Seems like it's been a rather good year for comedy dramas, not so much for sitcoms and sketch shows.
