I'm not sure why many of the original episode titles from this series have alternative titles.
Why were alternatives offered?
Did the original titles not capture the essence of this long running, & long running comedy series

Yes, it's really not necessary for long-gone series - with the exception of the likes of Blackadder where each is clearly very separate.

Anyway. I was unaware of this previously, but my guess to the multiple episode titles question would be that someone - probably a DVD company - has made up a set of titles for some reason, thus they have also stuck as semi-official.
