I remember the writers saying they were tempted to have lots of well known actors in the beginning who would suddenly have been killed off.
But that it probably would have disappointed the audience somewhat.

I liked that the actor who played Captain Frank Hollister (Mac McDonald) also popped up in Aliens. I have a feeling he was the doomed captain of the colony.

I never watched Series 1.

It's worth watching just to see how sitcoms can grow and develop if given the chance.

I wouldn't say any episode belongs to my favourite Red Dwarf episodes...but every episode has some nice ideas and even some classic moments.

The episode about the cats was quite memorable!
