Historical comedy yet to be done

Which historical eras are still unrepresented in comedy, and are ripe for becoming the basis of a sitcom or something?

Can't think of a Victorian one off the top of my head but I'm sure there must be one.

How's about we compile a chronological list?

Good idea!
Bleak Expectations is Victorian.

Anglo Dutch wars 1652-54 and 1665-67?

Blackadder's Christmas Carol is Victorian, as were the many many Christmas Carol parodies that have littered our airwaves for decades.

English Civil War?

Civil war? (English of course)

Great minds David, Great. Minds!

Blackadder: The Cavalier Years

Battle Of Hastings 1066.

The Falklands War. Our most ridiculous conflict deserves sitcomming.

Blakey Meets Hitler And Go In Battle With The Buses.lol

World War 3

This is just my kind of topic

so here is my list of historical sitcoms that I know of in roughly chronological order-

Plebs
Up Pompeii!
Chelmsford 123
Dark Ages
Whoops Baghdad
The Black Adder
Maid Marian And Her Merry Men
Blackadder II
Blackadder: The Cavalier Years
Let Them Eat Cake
Black Adder The Third
Haggard
The Bleak Old Shop Of Stuff
Blackadder's Christmas Carol
The Magnificent Evans
Up The Women
Blackadder Goes Forth
Chickens
You Rang, M'Lord?
Clarence
'Allo 'Allo!
Dad's Army
It Ain't Half Hot Mum
Goodnight Sweetheart
Then Churchill Said To Me
Demob
Hi-De-Hi!
Oh Doctor Beeching!
Hippies
Days Like These

That's all I know of, hope it might help though

The Middle Pleistocene is hugely under-represented in comedy.

As I included Maid Marian I should probably include CBBC's Cave Girl. And I forgot about Rock & Chips.

Rock & Chips is a comedy drama though, so no place in your sitcom list!

Not familiar with Demob but also: The Last Salute, Get Some In! and Get Well Soon.

A Touch Of The Casanovas too, if you want to include pilots.

Oh and Let Them Eat Cake.
