It's Bob Dylan's best mate in England, Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics.

Oh.I should have asked "Who's that girl" :)

:D

This is blowing my mind:

Oh him. He's that childish 60 odd year old who said F**k on that Whistle Test celebration and then smirked and said "Am I allowed to say that?" or something similar. You might do that when you're under 25 but an old man of his age was just pathetic.

I know that basically they're all old gits but having recently seen the Zombies I've just bought tickets for Roy Wood and Joan Baez - not together - on top of the Los Pacaminos (Paul Young's band) and Judy Collins gigs I'm going to later this year and early next year.

I can't believe I only found out yesterday that half of lynyrd skynyrd died in a plane crash

I heard, for the first time ever, Sunday People by The Monroes recently and loved it. Wasn't that blown away by their other singles though...

That happened when they were probably at their peak in the mid-seventies I believe.

Yeah, it happened in 1977 just as they were becoming superstars. The band members who weren't killed were badly injured. Aerosmith had been thinking about using the same aircraft for their tour.

I'm surprised you hadn't heard about the crash. I think every American rock fan from the era knows about it.

Yeah they aren't really my cup of tea !

Bands of that ilk aren't of any real interest to me - that said I was surprised I'd never heard about it before...

If you can't enjoy this song you must be dead inside. ;)

Ha! It's alright I guess

Ain't the Clash though is it?

:)
