Absolute badass!
In fact, I'm looking for a good BG compilation (at a reasonable price) for years. The one I always find in bargain bins (Buddy's Baddest...) isn't very representative according to allmusic.com so I keep waiting.

This one looks good:

There are 46 comps listed on RYM. :)

Have you tried Discogs?

Not bad at all! I don't like Zürich but that would be a small price to pay...

Good God! Are they still going?

Well Rob Halford died I thought.

I know everyone did this, but first time I read, 'Pop star Jesse McCartney', I thought, 'Wow - is he related?' So I did some googlin' and turns out No, we aren't.

They even release decent albums again since Halford rejoined in the mid-noughties. He's still a force of nature.

Today I bought the new live double album by the Steve Howe-led version of Yes with the silly title "Topographic Drama".
What's the point?, you might ask. No founding member in the band and the pace of the music is considerably slower compared to the originals.
It's probably nostalgia, I just love their classic catalogue and don't get tired of hearing these songs in their studio versions and live again and again And: I'm quite fond of their new singer Jon Davison. He's mimicking the other Jon almost perfectly and yet his voice is slightly less annoying than Anderson's to my ears... I don't know why.
I had bought the two preceding live sets with him, on the first they played The Yes Album and Going For The One in their entirety on the other Fragile and Close To The Edge. So I had to buy this one as well with performances of two more classic albums. A no brainer.

Chris Rea collapsed on stage in Oxford. He had several health issues over the last few years...I hope he's not the next one to go.

Hmmm. Yes -some conflict between the two versions of Yes currently doing the rounds. Next year is their 50th anniversary and Jon Anderson is the only original still involved with Yes featuring ARW.

Incidentally I went to a Roger Dean exhibition last week.

Did you buy anything there or were you allowed to take pictures?

I took a couple of photos including the original of that Topographic Drama cover and bought a couple of small signed prints - or rather they were bought for me by my girlfriend for Christmas.

They played a free show at my university about 25 years ago and put on a good performance.

Recently I was listening to music from a pendrive and I was surprised it still had folders with Britney Spears and Mariah Carey songs. I really thought I had deleted those. But anyway there's no denial that when I am cleaning up while listening to ''Stronger'' by Britney, I do feel stronger. Although a feeling of shame came to me when the song ''Sweet Fantasy'' was playing as my bubblegum pop days are way behind me.

Laughing out loud
