The general pop/rock - music thread Page 146

I see Yello are planning a short tour at the end of next year but only in Germany, Switzerland and Austria I believe. I may consider a few days away and a Christmas market.

Received today my package of Rick Wakeman's soundtrack to the classic film "Phantom of the Opera".

A lovely signed and packaged product featuring the CD and DVD with his music.

This is one of those Pledge Music products. Awaiting the new Damned and Skids albums in the new year.

Which University was he in?

Which University was he in?

Oh, I don't know. I've completely forgotten about it and only caught the last five minutes of it by accident. Stupid me. Only thing I know is his team lost in a big way. Paxo even made some funny remarks about their embarrassing performance.

Newcastle.

Thanks for flagging it up, Gordon. I recorded it and will watch a bit when I've got time.

Oops, tiny misunderstanding. I thought I spoiled it for you by mentioning the final scores.
Enjoy it!

I think we are all just glad to see Wilko still on the planet.

I went to see Bootleg Blondie at the Boom Boom Club last night.

Surprised to see Clem Burke in the crowd. Got him to sign my flyer.

I had to leave before the end as I had a train to catch. I hope I didn't miss him playing because I regard him as one of the best drummers ever.

The new Bowie documentary on Saturday: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b088ktm6

I see Ray Davies is now Sir Ray.
I recall Doc Neeson of The Angels remembering how Ray got them kicked off a USA tour because they were getting to good a reception. He also said that when supporting Bowie he couldn't do enough to help them.
