More Sketches sought for our Sketch Show Pilot Page 4

Update:

An Apology.

This post serves as a public and heartfelt apology to everyone who worked on the comedy sketches Joanna and I produced and directed last year February and May.

It has taken me more than a year to deliver them for reasons that are as baffling to me as they are to you. However, I understand that this is not good enough given that the people involved gave up their skills, talents and personal time at no financial cost so that they could be involved in a project that all hoped would get us further down the road in our respective careers.

I have now delivered 2 of the sketches to Joanna with views to delivering the remaining two either Thurdsay or Friday this week. And so for this prolonged delay, I am very sorry.

I only hope they are of some use to the people who involved themselves so readily in the process of their manufacture.

Wishing you all the best of luck til we meet again,

Nick Browne

Perhaps they should keep such facts from us, in the chance that we might think them almost professional...

The apology mentions four completed videos, but only three have been uploaded so far.

The missing one is my sketch.

I'm beginning to wonder if it'll ever see the light of day.

I've just received a message from the producer. It turns out the delay was because the director 'ran off to South Africa with the rushes' and that in spite of my sketch being the 'funniest one', it'll have to be re-shot because it 'didn't work'.

All in all, pretty depressing.

Did they not upload the original (pre-post-production) sketch here? http://www.youtube.com/user/quiensabeyose

No, unfortunately it's not turned up online in any shape or form.

I might ask them if they could send me a copy of the sketch regardless of the state it's in, just to satisfy my curiosity.

The director ran off to Sar-Tafrikah with the rushes??? wtf... that's got to be a sketch in its own right hasn't it.
.
Groovydude89.... If you're still in contact with the producer, give him / her my contact info please, as I would like to get involved with anybody who is "trying" to get stuff done.
.
I've been a writer for over 25 years now, and during the last twenty years of hanging out in and around this industry, I've managed to pick up a few bad habits along the way, such as producing, directing and editing skills, and to my credit, I have sitting around with no particular use at present, a Canon XL1S camera (broadcast quality), and a power mac G5, that houses Final Cut Pro, Sound Track Pro, and pretty much everything else they would need to get back on track.
.
Shoot the sketches in the morning, and cut them in the afternoon / evening, and the footgae can be graded a few days later if need be.
.
Having read through this thread, I thought it was recent, until I noticed the 2012 dates on some of the early posts... damn!!!!
.
If they've got the talent and the locations sorted, I'm happy to step in and provide the back end stuff to create a pilot.
