A mate of mine edits this show and told me a story the other day about Stephen Fry and Sean Lock having a big "on air" dust up over the repeated use of the phrase "cock monkey".

Cannot wait.

Cannot wait.

Don't get excited, his job was to edit out the fracas.

So it's not really going to be "on air" then, is it?

Well yes, I included the inverted commas because I couldn't think of a better way at the time to say "during the live recording". So you have me there.

What a great "conversation".

I swear to God, I'm going to come to your house with a claw hammer and mess you up where you sleep.

Is he coming on to me?

"Yes".

":O"

Was that one of Sutcliffe's early chat-up lines?

Does John Bishop come with subtitles?

Ventriloquist dummies? Really? That was an incredibly tedious episode.

Yes, I didn't enjoy it either.

It was awful. Well, had Nina Conti been on by herself as a normal guest she would have been fine. But every time the old lady puppet spoke I wanted to fast forward. That was not a good idea.
I'm sure the puppet is funny with a script (like her monkey is) but ad libbing in a quiz situation, it didn't work for me at all.

I don't think she's that funny anyway, and she may have been applauded for saying "pig in a poke", but no one picked her up on "Godily functions".
