No, Acorn Media released First of the Summer Wine but I'm not keen on that so don't have it on DVD.
So why didn't Acorn Media release it then, that's what I don't get?

Probably because they only own the rights to First of the Summer Wine.

Obviously not. Playback probably don't want to sell up and it isn't saying they will release them any quicker.

Yes, but Yesterday and Gold don't always show all the episodes of the series in order and tend not to repeat the specials, which is kind of pointless.

Acorn bought First Of The Summer Wine only very recently, long after Universal Playback started Last Of The Summer Wine sets.
