Too true about Sergeant, he might be funny by Come Dancing standards, but that's not saying much at all...

These TV presenters etc need to be kept as far away from comedy as possible, a la Fern Britton and Peter Andre... Only comedians should be in comedy, and good ones at that.

Comedy is subjective. Here's my two pfennig:

Bishop: God help us;
McIntyre: try comedy;
Murray: zzzzzzzzz;
Merton: one-joke wonder: "Is it a <insert surreal word>?"
Dara O'Briain: apparently, his name is a gaelic anagram of "Dave Allen is turning in his grave".. I read that in "Rizzler";
Atkinson: miserably unfunny these days;
Gervais: awful;
Pegg: purleeeeeeeez..
Osho: phwoaaaaar!
Bridges: hmmmm..
Whitehall: hmmmmmmmmmm..
Hall: excellent!
Brand: ****!!!!
Francis: has his moments;
Dennis: huge potential but no direction;
Pattison: wonderful;
Connolly: boring and unfunny;
Robbins: what happened to her? She was fantastic;
Coogan: sell-by date has passed;
Fry: the jury's out these days;

The list goes on.. and will..

BTW Does spoonerism have a place in comedy? Mary Hinge says so..
